X1 Producer expanded.
I now have installed x1 64 bit on my new computer.(Finally updated from XP)
I now have two monitors as well.
How do you work with them both?
I assume you would want the track view on one and console view on the other?

I use two screens for X3 in extended mode, which means that one window extends across both screens.  This is great when I want to work with several tracks in console view.

Yes, you can extend the entire SONAR workspace over both screens OR you can float the MultiDock with the Console view inside or just float the Console view by itself. You can dock or float other views as well.

Right-click the tab in the MultiDock and choose Undock for the view you want to float. Then you can move its window to the other screen outside the SONAR workspace.

Or just click on the tab and drag it over to the other screen from within the multidock.

Try out different combinations - I generalyl run Track View on one, and Console View on another, and if I really need space, I will hook up another monitor, otherwise I will drag anything else I need to wherever it is out of the way for what I am doing.

It all works, and through some experimentation, you will arrive at some combination that makes sense to the way YOU do things.  :)

You can always change it at any time.

I used to use one for CV and one for the track view. Since screensets camr along I now run Sonar in full screen extended across them both.

We all work differently though so find a way that works for you. The possibilities are endless.

I am running Win7 and have a shortcut to DisplaySwitch (C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe) on my desktop as I only use the second monitor with SONAR in extended mode. As with Bob, I tend to keep the main program on the main monitor and the mutlidock/VST UIs on the other. I switch back to computer only after done with SONAR and the monitor will go into standby without an active signal.

I did use TV in main screen and the Multidock on the other screen. Then I went to the view stretched across both screens and use "D" key to toggle between bringing the mutidock up and down. In full screen I might add.

Great ideas guys, Thanks. With having only one screen all this time, I totally ignored the undock feature because I couldn't understand why one would ever use it.

I use track view on my main monitor, and the dock on the second monitor, since I use lots of soft synths in the dock.  Also, I made "C" go to the console view, which also resides in my dock.
