I have some sequences that use B2 for the kick drum, but I prefer C3, and I worked out how to change all instances of B2 without changing any other notes.  However, I can't work out how to change velocities the same way. I like the kick drum to be at 80, with the snare drum at 107.  Changing the velocity of one, changes all other notes as well.  So how do I target only specific notes for velocity change?

Select the notes in the Piano Roll View by clicking the key in the keyboard or lasso the notes then either

position the mouse cursor above one of the notes until the cursor changes to a stylus with a histogram above it. Then CTRL+Click drag to adjust all selected note velocities. This will changes all notes by a certain amount.

or

right click the clip in the track view and select from the context menu select Process Effect > MIDI Effects > Cakewalk FX > Velocity and Set To a value. Read move about the Velocity MFX here http://www.cakewalk.com/D...ngMIDI.44.html#1086150

BTW, you can save some time by using the User Control Panel above and adding your hardware, OS and DAW to your signature.

Thanks, scook.  I'll follow your suggestions next time I'm working on stuff.  And I've added my info to my sig.  My bad for not thinking of that in the first place. duh. :)
