Hi All,

Hope someone can help
Re: Missing TH3 in Sonar Platinum – I’m using Windows 10

I was using Cakewalk by Bandlab but ran into some problems i.e. missing plugins – so I uninstalled, and contacted Bandlab Support – the problems I raised are still being dealt with.

So I went back to Sonar Platinum but TH3 was missing so I reinstalled Boutique FX Suite but TH3 is still missing. Anyone got any ideas on what I’m doing wrong regarding the reinstall.

Thanks
Best
Ed

After reinstalling TH3, have you tried a 'reset and rescan' in plugin mgr.?

Hi Mesh,
At the minute I'm just looking for it as a programme search - I've just been in the plugin mgr and some VST Audio FX have been excluded and they were also working fine the other day. Should I highlight the VST Audio and rescan VST Plugins - the problems are mounting - also is TH3 VST 2 or 3

Any suggestions
Thanks again

Uninstalling CbB would likely remove TH3 and all the plug-ins bundled with CbB.

TH3 bundled with Platinum is a VST3.

It is normal for some plug-ins to be excluded in Platinum.

TH3 was moved out of the Boutique FX Suite and into the SONAR installer starting with 2017-08.

The last Boutique FX Suite installer to contain TH3 was 1.0.1.19 but you would be better off re-running the 2017-10 Platinum installer to get TH3 back or re-install CbB. Re-installing CbB will put back TH3 and anything else it may have removed when it was uninstalled.

Hi Scook,
Really appreciate the great advice and information - Thanks very much

There is one thing I've just noticed Re: Boost 11 and a few others - in Cakewalk/Shared Utilities/Internal some of the files seem to have changed
e.g.
stBoost
stPX64
stPL64
- when I re enabled Boost 11 in the project mgr I don't think any presets were loaded - has something gone very wrong and file renaming is required

Any opinion would be most welcome
Thanks again
Ed

Leave the excluded plug-ins alone.

Uninstalling CbB trashed Platinum because it is a newer version of essentially the same DAW. If it were mine to repair and I did not want to re-install CbB (which would be my first choice), I would rollback Platinum and re-install the Platinum 2017-10 using the Cakewalk Control Center or manually re-run the last SONAR installer. This will restore Platinum 2017-10.

Hi again Scook,
Yes, reinstalling CbB is my first priority and I've been trying to sort things out with Bandlab to reinstall CbB as soon as possible. So I'll hold off reinstalling Platinum till that's sorted out.

Thanks again for the great advice.
Very best
