The reason I never delete anything is just from past experience with any data. You just never know what you might need to re visit someday. I'll agree that if the project was going no where and not worth keeping , sure, nuke it.
Hard drives are cheap and storage is no longer an issue even on a small budget. So one does not need to obliterate anything that just might be needed again someday.
So just out of habit I never completely delete any of my music files ( or photos for that matter.)
My system is to have a "working" data drive for Sonar project folders. I keep only my working copies of projects on that drive. Everything else, old projects, song ideas, client folders are on a 3rd data drive as well as stored elsewhere usually 2 - 6 times. So I keep my Sonar data drive uncluttered this way. I also know that only my most up to date files are stored there so there's no chance o opening an obsolete version.
