I have a new HP 15t laptop with i7 quad core machine, using a Tascam US1800 interface.  When using X3 in the console view, trying to adjust the faders is a bit weird.  At first, the faders jump to either 100% or 0.  After working with it a few times, I can get the faders to go where I need them.  My first thought that maybe there was an issue with the USB port interfering with the touch screen, so I switched the ports - same problem.  Also, the problem repeats when I use the touchpad as well.

I will try this on another brand audio interface (Focusrite) and see if the problem stays or goes away.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure if touch is affected by this, but do you happen to have your system (Windows) font size set to large?

I don't have the same problem. Now, a double tap will cause them to jump, so if you have your double tap settings on super fast, do you think it's misreading your intent? Kinda like how you can set a mouse double click speed to be fast or slow, do you think you can do this for touch? idk.

In Windows 8, I have two user accounts on my laptop - one for stage use and one for personal.  If you don't completely sign out from the other account (instead of switching user accounts) before logging into the Sonar account, it will act erratically.

So, there's something about Windows 8 that doesn't completely shut things down in other accounts unless you sign out.  Lesson learned.

Maybe the double tap was what was happening in sonar. One tap for each user currently logged in.

I wonder if you could launch apps as the other user or other weirdness.

I tried to replicate and wasn't able to.
