I've recently started having a problem where if I right-click a clip and select Groove Clip Looping, the clip doubles in length and either the pitch or sample rate go all out of whack. I haven't been able to sort this one out myself, so I'm hoping someone here has seen this...

Set the beat setting to the correct number of beats.

Double click on the clip to open the Loop Construction window, and select the correct number of beats in that window.

Sonar "guesses" at the number of beats. More often than not you need to divide the beats parameter (as mentioned above) in half, and you're good to go.
