It will not be out for at least a few years. All available Cakewalk resources are being devoted to bug fixes for Pro Audio 9.

Hmmm.... I wonder what would happen if Cakewalk changed the entire workflow again, like they did with X1? I predict chaos.

I'm twiddling my thoughts wondering what X4 would give us that doesn't already exist in X3. For once I'm not bothered when it is released as the current version is a joy to use which wasn't the case for me with X2.. If they can improve on X3e then all I can say is Wow!

I am told X4 is coming out on Friday.

I think Monday is a lot more likely.  But I don't know which Monday.

Cakewalk will announce X4 at AES Los Angeles Oct 9-12, 2014 - I'll be there to assess the new features and report them to you back here first as part of Channel 7 eyewitness news, and CNN and USA Today special report teams. lol hehehe---hehehe---hehehe ... just kiddin.
 
But I will be at AES137 and Cakewalk will be there too. And I'll be at their booth, and Sonar will be at their booth too. The only thing is, I don't which version will be there to greet me. lol

What "leak" would that be?  I don't think the pre-announcement of Garrigus' annual tome counts.

I guesss you missed it before it was pulled back.  Quite a few of us saw it whiz by.
And I bet a bunch of us copied it as it passed.  I didn't.
