Quick upgrade from X1 to X3 question......

Hi Guys,

been a while since I've been on.
Just a quick one, purchasing the upgrade from X1 to X3, does this install a fresh copy of X3 leaving X1 intact (like older upgrades) or does it 'upgrade' X1 to X3.

It is a fresh install as with previous releases. After the install it will give you a chance to migrate your settings from X1 to X3. Remember that any projects you open and save in X3 will not open properly in X1 so make backups before doing so.

It is best to keep x1 even if you are using only x3 from now on. The reason is that there are a few plugins that are only available in x1 but not x3. I can think of those roland r-mix and v-vocal.

After X3 install... immediately install X3E patch (don't run X3 before this if you can help it), start X3E, perform a VST reset, and then rescan your plugins. Cheers.
