I would like to submit an ELO song to the guy in the article. Talk about the tempo being all over the place. Not only do they use lots of ****s and tempo changes but I would imagine each player is a little off as well.

Are you talking about the actual ELO albums..
Those were the days where you just did it live. Nevermind he's completely redone them with click:

I guess I should clarify, I wasn't complaining so much about the recordings or the skill of the musicians. Slight variations in tempo are natural and human. I was just trying to say that the structure of some of their songs makes them more difficult to sync externally. For example, near the end of "Mr. Blue Sky" there are ret.'s and other tempo changes that are intrinsic to the song. Unless the re-recordings include a lot of rewrites, the new album probably won't change those much.

I guess I have heard the old albums too much. I sampled the new album and I think I like the old recordings better. The original recordings seem more full.

Plus they are missing some of the pops, hiss and bacon frying from my albums. After a while, even that noise is missed - for good or bad. :)
