Just curious. I have had no luck with support. I had a typo in an email address for a recipient and had to re-upload 5 gigs. My bad but it seems a little restricting to use. Now I can't delete the original and I've never been able to access my own uploads unless I send them to myself. Maybe there is a learning curve that is more complex than other cloud stuff, but absolutely no response from support WOW

i couldn't get it to upload, and it used 30% system resources. i removed it.

I really like Gobbler though it does need a lot of work. There is a huge update coming to it soon though. They seem to be faster to respond when you post a message to their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/GetGobbler?fref=ts

Can't wait to see the new client.

I haven't had any problems with it, and have been using it since X3 came out.

I love Gobbler. The only problem for me was that it highlighted and underscored just how sloppy I have become in managing my projects.

I'm interested to see what they do for V2, but I'm really quite happy with V1.

If you are considering continuing the fight post a little more detail about the problems you are having and perhaps some of us can chime in to help.

I'm paying for Gobbler ($40 USD per year), but I can't really use it as a back up tool except for my current project. My projects are too big and I can't afford the amount of storage it would require to backup the last 15 years of noodling. My subscription level allows me to send unlimited about of links to friends with projects or wave files.

Over the last year, they've incrementally increased my storage quota as my various musician friends have created accounts.

Things I use it for...
1. Sharing a project with a friend
2. Keeping my current project backed up so I can do incremental restores if necessary (pretty much the same as using save-as periodically, but if your hard drive fails your still covered).
3. And this is the biggie - Sending Huge numbers of Wave files to specific people who have to create an account to download and cannot forward the link to all their friends!
4. Creating general links that work for a week that anyone can use to download the content (so you can post it to Facebook et al.).

Things I had to get good at
1. Putting it on pause so it doesn't burn my wire/processor all the time. My projects are often 3+ hours long and they can't analyze all my waves to see if they need to be uploaded every time I hit save.
2. Deleting projects out of Gobbler so I could upload more stuff.

Generally, I haven't seriously considered cancelling.
It's saving me time burning CDs and delivering them which justifies the $40 USD by itself.

I had a typo in an email address for a recipient and had to re-upload 5 gigs.

I've never had to re-upload as long as the files are the same. It does some processing on my side and then communicates to the Gobbler server and figures out the files are identical to ones it already has and does not re-upload. My experience.

Now I can't delete the original...

Open the user interface on your computer, double click 'Files in Gobbler', double click the project your want to remove (a new window opens), click the 'Remove from Cloud' button. I also had a bit of trouble finding this the first time.

I've never been able to access my own uploads unless I send them to myself.

So, really, this is a bit of learning curve thing. The concept behind Gobbler is to make it possible for musicians trying to make money to share copies of files exclusively. If you are uploading the files and sending them to someone, only that someone should be able to download them (unless you click the 'make available public download' checkbox). This is very much on purpose. The idea is that you are going to try to sell this stuff. You don't have to make the links exclusive if you don't want to, but Gobbler defaults to exclusive. Presumably, you don't want to give away your newly minted Waves and you don't want your rough drafts becoming the only version your fans ever listen to.

Your comments about no response from support are surprising. Do you have a paid subscription? I've found them very responsive and helpful. The owners have even posted on threads in this forum.

It's really a great tool for collaboration but there needs to be some changes like adding a friends list and better organization (more like Dropbox?). For backup, I use multiple HDDs and I'll be using OneDrive since I have MS Office and get 1tb of storage with it now. :D

I use it all the time, for sending projects.

It's pretty cool, I guess.
