Democracy is the worse form of government except all the others have been tried-Winston Churchill.
Each to their own, but honestly Sonar as a composition tool and an extension of a digital musical instrument still leaves all the other DAW's in the dust. And lets not get started on how it really is the best emulation of a "real" mixing console. A few more features such as Varispeed, network performance and some real-time time stretching tool would really push it into another realm. Wouldn't mind a DJ function either.
I've been doing some hard-core research lately into future possibilities regarding possible future music ideas performance and composition. We def need real-time time stretching and DJ functionality. Again it's all about creating a seamless digital instrument, rather than a digital audio workstation, which as a concept is rather old, perhaps a digital audio instrument. Particular as digital audio is only a small fraction of musical possibilities these days.
