Or some kind of built in batch file thing where you can select a bunch of clips, and rename them all according to a windows explorer type of sorting list (track name, take number, name of preceding marker, whatever you want ). Existing clip names could be optionally overwritten or modified. This would replace the "Automaticly Name Clips After Bounce to Clips" thing I was talking about before. Am I getting carried away?

I'm really starting to think the easiest option is ctrl+c / ctrl+v...once you get a drop-down menu and force a selection every time you bounce, I think it would get annoying pretty quickly unless you don't bounce very often. And if you wanted to choose a different name compared to one of the clips, you're back to square 1.

You can do this already. Select however many clips you want, open the Inspector's clip tab, and enter the clip name. This renames all selected clips.

Yes, it renames all selected clips with whatever name you enter in the Inspector's Clip tab.

 Sorry, Administrator Anderton, but I am not asking for a feature Sonar already has. I can't speak for the OP, but It appears that you have missed my point. You have twenty-seven clips spread across twenty-seven tracks , all INDIVIDUALLY named, decide you want to bounce them to clips, you end up with twenty-seven NAMELESS clips(Irrefutable so far I hope). The OP asked for a way for Sonar to remember the clip's name after the bounce-to-clips. This was met by concerns about undo. I suggested some kinda bulk renaming feature whereby you could select a group of clips, and have them renamed INDIVIDUALLY along the lines of track name, take number, whatever things Sonar already knows about the clips.
