I can't seem to be able to figure out how to get Sonar X3 to recognize two keyboards, a new Oxygen 49, and the previous Oxygen 49. Seems I can only use one or the other since they both have the same name, "Oxygen 49."

Is there a way to change names in the Windows system?

Use "friendly names" in Sonar MIDI devices.
You should see Oxygen 49 listed twice. Even though they have the same name, they are recognized by the system as two unique devices.
Change the names to OxygenA/OxygenB, KeysLeft/KeysRight, Moe/Larry, whatever. That will be the name shown when you select your input device from within Sonar.
Note: Do not switch ports, and do not change your start-up sequence. This can cause Sonar to swap the names.

Thanks, RobertB. I thought I tried that but I'll give it a whirl one more time.

Well, I tried that again. Gave them both different names but the program came back with "Oxygen 49 is already running..." (or something like that) and then unchecked both and wouldn't let me even check one unless I restarted the program.

Problem solved - Seems M-Audio has a dedicated driver for the older Oxygen 49 (blue) so now both keyboards work with Sonar simultaneously.

That's good news. Glad you got it sorted out.
