...Now, I just hit CTRL-S every few minutes or if I do something great.  I don't think I've ever lost work from an unsaved crash, and don't have auto-Save interrupting me.

Same here. I don't use auto save at all...

Same here too. But every once in a while I get carried away and go for too long without hitting CTRL-S and inevitably end up with Sonar crashing.

Kev:
I've lost work from crashes, because I got carried away, only to discover my Autosave copy was from a year ago. I once did a 10 hr session which only ended because I got hungry! I'd missed breakfast and lunch and reached cocktail o'clock and still hadn't finished with the hi hats...

I'd say every one of us (the hardcore engineers here) does this at least once a week

I don't use Auto Save, but sometimes get "General Error" when I try to Save OR Save As.
What options do I have? Or should I start another thread?
Thanks
Michael

Man, I'd lose time with this because I'd be hitting CTRL+S with every move I make, every breath I take...

Edit, but seriously, I also turned Autosave off for the same above reasons (not timed well / getting in the way) and just got into the habit of hitting CTRL+S at (or before) key points.

Hate autosave... such an interrupter. CTRL+S rawks!

Auto save for some reason saves constantly if you’ve setup transients and use audio snap.... did u do that? I’ve been using sonar for many years and have not found a solution or exactly what the audio snap threshold is that starts auto save to go nuts. I just know when it does occur I have the turn it off and resort to manual Ctrl s. Btw, if I bounce to clips and the transient /audio snap info gets integrated, problem stops

I spend my days working with lots of spreadsheets.  My fingers go to CTRL + Save pretty much every minute.

Ctrl+S is almost intuitive for me after a lot of "oops" during the years.
I also have a save button on my CS that is getting a bit transparent
