What did you get?

Do you like it?

Eighth inch? Quarter inch?

Db25?

How many?

Racked at the top or bottom?

Yes,
Neutrik 1/4"; indispensable.
Had a DB as well, I downsized when I built the new rack.

Wow. awesome and thanks for the picture. I'm like a low budget you. ☺ do you use normalized or half normalized?

Any thoughts about devices or would you buy the same again?

The Neutrik NYS-SPP-L1 is surprisingly good value. I only paid $110 for mine. Here is the official description:

I have several from my previous studio - they are all solder tails or wirewrap pins on the rear, and I haven't gotten around to hooking one up yet, but I will. Because I needed a LOT of patch points in the old studio all of bays are TT/Bantam, but I do have one 1/4 TRS bay that I use for connecting external gear, it is normalled through to the TT bays. I tend to make everything half-normalled, but there are exceptions.

I own a dbx PB-48. Had it for years... do they even sell them anymore?

Anyways, when I had a use for it I loved it but that was before my DAW days and now I am almost 100% in-the-box so I don't really use it anymore.

It's really a really cool design that allows for normal or half-normal on each channel just by flipping a module over.

I'm thinking that if i get one of these...

And link it to one of these

With two db25 cables, I can use it as my snake.

Then I don't have to spend as much time with my nose buried in the back of the rack.

This presumes that the phantom power would route nicely from the preamps though the patch bay to another patch bay to the microphones. Does this work? I have to imagine it would introduce noise. On the other hand it might make an onerous task less painful on gig night.
