i was able to put marker where i wanted (same place at the "now marker") before the last update.
i don't know what happening.
i put a video to show it. any idea to fix it?
really sad, i was making manual metronome that way, when recording guitar without audio metronome.
at 38 sec, i can move it manually with the mouse.

I see from your video that you are at a very high horizontal zoom, so you'll probably need to set the grid resolution to "sample" in order to place markers precisely where you want them. I never noticed this before, because I rarely care about marker precision (usually placing them slightly ahead of the actual start of a section), but markers seem to follow the grid resolution all the time. Try selecting "sample" from the grid context menu and see if that doesn't solve your problem.

Markers can't be placed at sample accurate positions, it's worth noting. They only have MIDI time resolution.

bitflipper: still same problem.
john t: im sure i was able to before, because i was making my metronome that way.

Hi PsychatoR, like I mentioned in your earlier thread, you can only insert markers up to a resolution of one tick per quarter note. How would you have specified samples using the insert marker dialog? It only accepts values of ticks. I still have X2 installed and it's the same there. After you've inserted your marker then, yes, you can zoom way in and drag it by one sample using snap settings. But when you first insert it using the dialog box, you can only specify ticks. I know you're convinced you did it before, but you must've been using some kind of dark magic. :-)

I think you probably mean change it from gray to blue. You probably last used the smart tool (the star icon) to draw an event 100 ticks in length, so it set that drop-down you have highlighted in red to 100 ticks and "Last Touched." Now if you choose one of the draw tools (freehand pencil, etc.) it will highlight that drop-down to blue with your "Last Touched" setting of 100 ticks duration when you draw your next event. If you go back to the smart tool, the drop-down will change back to gray and wait for you to draw another event, then put next drawn event duration back in the drop-down. Choose the freehand tool again and that new duration will be highlighted in blue as last touched.

So, the short story is, switch to one of the draw tools to change the drop-down to blue and use its current event duration setting.

when im on "smart tool" i can't never anymore put "even draw" to grey, since last update. its ALWAYS blue. only way to put it grey is to change tools, like the select tool, but i go back to smart tool, still blue.
i could before like u saw on the pic.
