Thanks again, Mudgel. I have carefully reread every post.To be clear I did initially save it correctly as a template. But Sonar, for some reason, saved the template with template correct file extension into the Project folder not the Template folder. I copied the custom template into the template directory. Now it works perfect. I create a new project, queue my template. I give the project a name and: voilà, perfecto!

Great that it's working.

What can happen and I've done it heaps is that wjhen you originally go to save a project the file browser opens in the default project location and even though you select files of type Template, it still saves in the project folder and not the default template folder.

Just another thing to look out for in the future.

When I download sonar studio x3, no project templated loaded into the quick start menu. Is there a way to get the pre installed templates into the quick start menu?
