So i posted a couple times in regards to this issue..i have recently found another quark in the symptoms im hoping someone may understand what is going on, in the past i have posted about my platinum making odd 'buzzy' noises during playback..then i pause playback..globally arm and then disarm "rec" ...noises gone..i can listen to playback for a bit until it starts again then i do the arm/disarm trick...ive noticed it happens more often if i have my visual meters showing or if i open my eq in pro channel or limiter with visuals.....so the latest anomoly i have noticed is that if i let my project sit idle for say 3 minutes or more then press playback..it has the crazy buzz noise i mentioned earlier...so in otherwords, i playback it sounds great..i stop or pause and immediatly hit playback its fine..i stop or pause then walk away for 3to5 minutes then hit playback..crazy buzz sounds then i do my arm/disarm global record and it stops...whew, ..i hope someone understands from what i discribed, what may be causing this..

Hi. Which version of SONAR do you have? What kind of Audio Interface / sound card do you have, and what driver mode do you use? What specs on your pc?
Too little information to troubleshoot as is.
All the best.

I have sonar platinum, im using two delta 1010 pci cards..the ones with 8 trs inputs each..not the ones with the wires..latest drivers on 1010..i was using wmm? But have switched to asio drivers..pc specs...win 10 pro 32bit..4gig ram..dual core..somewhere around 3000mhz...i just thought it odd that it happens when daw sits idle..i was hoping that symptom would be the "ahaa" moment for someone

There you go, I think I've read many times that these die. Start shopping my friend you long overdue for a nice modern Audio interface.
Read this before you go shopping..

I had a 1010lt for many years, but after upgrading to Win10, I started getting issues and replaced it.
It was driver related on my end. I sold it to someone that uses Win7, and it is still in working order, going on its 19th year. I couldn't get it to work properly in compatibility mode, even if it should.

The motherboard you have is also relevant as native PCI slots are not available any longer. Modern motherboards now emulate the PCI bus and there is a litany of anecdotal evidence to show that it is very unreliable especially in critical processes like Audio work.
