Hi everyone.
 
IS there a way we can record midi and audio on the fly LIVE in loop mode?
I find that if I record a midi clip I have to press stop so the clips can show up 
on the time line. If not can this be added? It would save me from having to use 
Ableton Live for this mode of working. Have a nice day everyone and keep up the good work Sonar!

Hi. Don't know which version of SONAR you have..
I might be wrong, but using AUX tracks, in sound on sound mode might work for this in later SPlat.
Others might know a whole lot better.

Th3 has a looper but it isn't great. It is possible to have clicks at the end if the loop and it doesn't do real time stretching so the timing of the loop depends on the person stomping the pedal. It does work and you can use it to loop synth output or audio. I have never looped midi input but there are midi delays.

When I want to loop, I usually use my old boss pedal.

There are other apps that are good for real time looping. Sonar ain't it.

There is input quantize. This means if you loop record a drum section you can slowly build up the midi clip with tightly timed drum funkiness.

I spend almost 6 mounth in searching for answer on this question. Tryed VST loopers, Sonar Matrix, and many other ways. GR5 looper can do this stuff with quntization of starts & ends of loop recording... More or less. But unforchantly I  have to recognize - Ableton is much more better in this case. But much more worst in many of other reasons. There is no perfection in this world(
