Hi Folks - I have many old songs I wrote using Hyper Canvas back in the day, and I can't play any of them any more. I mostly just want to review all the old tracks and then migrate the good ones, and it is getting tedious remapping them each one by one.

Is there a way to install Hyper Canvas to run in Sonar Plat?

Hi. I believe HC was 32 bit Dxi, so you would have to install the 32 bit version of SONAR.
Or you could try to use TTS1? Make sure MIDI output (in preferences) is set to none, and open the project.
TTS1 should automatically play the channels as they are laid out.
All the best.

The thing about automapping with TTS-1 is that only works with MIDI files. If the files are old Cakewalk project or work files, they would need to be saved as MIDI files first.

As scook said, it doesn't automatically reassign the midi channels, patches, etc. So I can do this if I manually reassign everything, but then I might as well use the modern plugins I want to use if I'm doing all that work.

Update: I have gotten the VST versions working, but not the DXi's (probably because of the x86 issues hinted at above). Because Sonar thinks these are still different plug ins, it still doesn't run the plug in, but now I can easily insert the VSTi version, then use the "Track > Selected Track Outputs..." menu item I just discovered to all channels to the new location. So 2 clicks ain't bad...

Glad you found a solution.
