i guess this would go under 'techniques', ?!
up for your perusal....
https://soundcloud.com/ba.../clean-elec-rhy-test-1after talking about IR's and whatnot,
i thought i'd do a quick demo of a pretty straight up recording session,
a couple of guitar tracks, each having a mono left and right capture, mixed straight up.
premise:
clean electric guitar capture, using 2 mono channels per track, panned hard left and right.
1 channel direct thru a palmer pdi-09 off of a mesa boogie mKIIB head, and 1 channel from an open-backed 1x12 cab with a heritage celestion G12H-55, with a 57 miced from behind the cone.
2nd (harmony/solo) performance panned hard right and left...
so that the miced track from the rhythm track is opposite hand of the harmony track
guitar is run thru a Fulltone Fatboost III, into a Barber Tone press, 2nd track uses a Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe
