Stuck in My Head

https://soundcloud.com/orygun/stuck-in-my-head

This was inspired by one of Jesse Screed's songs.  I forgot the name of Jesse's song, but I believe it had a number in the title.  :-)

Memories are made of this.
A memory is nothing more than  a formation of neurons with a specific pattern to them, and they reside within a definite location in your brain.  So all those really BAD  memories in your head? Don't you wish you could just get in there among the offending neurons, zap 'em dead with a laser and never be bothered by those thoughts again?  Yeah, me too.

NI Sunburst

Indiginus Renegade

Thanks for listening

Stuck in my Head

Well, that woman she done me wrong
Yeah, that woman she done me wrong  so wrong

Stuck in my head what she done to me
Won't go away all the misery

If she weren't in my head  the pain would be gone
I'd be happy again  I could carry on

Drinking away her memory
Puts an end to the misery

But in the morning  it's back at my door
The pain returns even more than before

If she ain't in my head the pain would be gone
I'd be happy again I could carry on

Can I get a  system restore
Back to the way I  was before

Somebody hit that Reset key
So she ain't there  in my memory

If she  ain't in my head the pain would be gone
I'd be happy again I could carry on

Hey can i get some neuro surgery
Poke inside my head in the circuitry

Remove the misery, that's what I need
Slice and dice away her memory

If she ain't in my head it never took place
I'd be back where I was with a smile on my face

Profound words as usual, and if you didn't have those memories where would this song be ... so it's not ALL bad. (BTW I see your using NI Sunburst, was it used on this song ... sounds so real !)

Good work mate, BTW I love your lyrics

Nice one Bjorn. I like the way you write your lyrics and they tell the story well. As Steve says that guitar sounds very convincing.

Sounded great Bjorn. I like the solo guitar/synth that interweaved through the song. Love the lyrics. The vocals are very Dylanesque. Nice job!

Thanks. I really like NI Sunburst and I find myself using it more and more. I don't play guitar very well
so it's great to have all those virtual instruments out there. Like I've said before, I have a bit of
an inferiority complex posting here among all the excellent guitar and keyboard players and singers. Only way for
me to express my music is via technology. Yeah, I know I should practice, but I'm getting on in years and I'd rather
spend the time making music vs endless playing of scales.

Thanks. I appreciate your comments.

Completely agree Bjorn ... every piece of work posted here is an abstract train of thought no matter how it's presented, and I know how you feel about the talent here but what can you do ... so keep up the good work!

All the best

I like the laid back approach to most of your songs. It suits your nearly whispered vocals and somehow works for you.

Every time I hear a song with this kind of lyrical content it reminds me of a great old country song by Webb Pierce called "There Stands the Glass". (This is David Ball singing it, and he's also a really good songwriter.)

I agree with Bill - the laid back approach of your songs suits your whispered vocals.

Thanks for listening. That laid back style is pretty much how I am all the time, the outside me anyway.  There could be a plane crash next door and my response to that would likely sound as if I'm talking about the grocery list.  I really do need an Emotion plug-in.

Welp it's cool as usual! But I would pop those vocals up louder. I'm straining to hear 'em, really . . . got any cool compressors like an LA-2A somethin' er other?   Or that $29 CLA Vocal ?  What are you using for compression on those?

nifty tune, Bjorn.
