Looking thru my library today I came across my transcripts of Charlie Parker Bebop fragments. This stuff is fun to play and I use them all the time. There are many and all are in the omnibook somewhere. I have handwriten notes from 1980 wow 
I love coming across old stuff like this. Brings back memories. Those were the days and my life was get on the bus get off the bus set up play tear down  get on the bus get off the bus set up play tear down etc.

When I was in the USAF band I would do jazz trio gigs at lunchtime for an hour and a half or so. Donna Lee, Cherokee and any bebop tunes with standards like Satin Doll or Summer Samba made up the set. Playing that music was a very good chop builder. When you do that stuff classic rock and anything else is a breeze.
Kenny have you ever attended a jazz music school?
