I like the live feel as well. You've spread those nice guitars very far wide r and l - have you tried pulling them in just a bit? And have you tried double-tracking the lead vocal for a little thickness?

Then again, double-tracking would just be . . . an illusion, so nevermind then!  :)

Stand out drums and guitars as well.

cheers,
-Tom

Mix sounded fine here, as Daryl noted it does sound very much like a live take of a band.

Thanks John!  Appreciate the listen and great comments!

Not really my style of song, but I liked the guitar solo a lot and it really does have a live in the studio feel.

Thanks Tom!  Most of my mixes usually have the guitars pulled in some and not panned hard, but this one I decided to do this way like a lot of the older rock was done.  I did not try double tracking the vocal, I often have a difficult time with that effect sounding right to me, but I will consider trying it again.

thanks again!

I liked this but I think I would classify it more as pop. I could be wrong though. Nice work on this everyone!

Starise- Thank you for listening and commenting.

I know that Reece is usually going for more of a modern worship feel to his songs.  Modern worship has gone in a very Pop/ Rock direction to appeal more to the younger members.  The days of Grandma's pipe organ are diminishing.  Personally, I like the modern approach, it makes playing as a part of the band from week to week, much more interesting.

I would say that both Sean and I have slightly more of a cross over style to our writing.  The mix of chemistry makes, in my opinion, for a more interesting band.
