Or is there no Arpeggiator. In the comparison chart it shows it but it isn't in the Inspector view. Did they drop it from Home Studio?

I'm on Windows 7, does it show on Windows 10? Got me going in circles

Also they really stripped it down to below bare bones, no synth rack really, thats a premium feature?

It would not be OS dependent. There is no notation about the feature not being available in SHS. It should be in the inspector for MIDI and Instrument tracks. When using an instrument track make sure to click the MIDI tab at the bottom of the Track Inspector (T in the image below). I do not have SHS to verify if the product has the feature though. I know it does not include the synth rack.

It's not there in either MIDI or Instrument Track's Inspector. Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue. The step sequencer is there in the view menu and it comes with the Arp plugin also the arppegiator folder with the patterns is in the apps roaming folder.

I assume it should be there...but it's not.

Appears there is no arpeggiator in HS. There are a lot of things missing in HS as it is the most basic Sonar variant ever. But it was free so no complaints here.

One very important module, EVENT INSPECTOR, is missing as is non-segmented meters.

And why is the Console called "Mixer" in the menu module?

OK, the track inspector probably looks something like this

If this is the case, there is no integrated arpeggiator. Cakewalk did the same thing for MC7; counting the arpeggiator MFX in the feature comparisons. It is not the same as the arpeggiator in the track inspector and a little misleading.

Yeah that's what I thought, not included. I was opening an old 8.5 file with it and it didn't show.

Thank's for the replies people.

8.5 still works great so I will stay there for the complex stuff and use Home Studio for scratch recording with minimal MIDI. Kinda like a Guitar Tracks super hybred.

It was the replacement for the Music Creator series. That series was due for an update. MC7 was based on X3 with a few new features, such as the virtual controller/keyboard and Style Dials. The inspectors are similar. That did not occur to me when I was writing my first reply.

Hey, it was only $50 and on sale for $30,, and now was free. And your complaining about 1 feature missing.
If you added up the features it comes with it would blow away many $100+ DAW's.

Nobody's complaining.... geez get off your high horse. The only things being noted are differences listed in the comparison chart and little niggles, NO showstoppers.

No need for your intervention and accusations.

... or maybe read your own avatar.

BTW, Mixcraft Pro was under $85 and it blows SHS away in some ways.
