Every MIDI note of my Fender Clean bass part is triggering a slide and I don't know how to turn it off.

Anyone?

Thanks - rev

Hi. My guess is that a key-switch has been triggered.
All the best.

Trilian is a bit "complicated".
Could be your patch is only loading the "slide" samples.
Patches, multis, there's a lot to wrap your head around.
Make sure you are loading the "complete" clean patch.
The Groove3 vids really helped me wrap my head around Trilian.

Also, some patches have a slide articulation when the midi velocity is very high, or when the sustain pedal is down.

That's my guess also. Do a test by changing the velocity of a note to 100.

The trouble with all that is I tried it all before posting. I'm sure it's a key switch too and it probably got triggered from something on another track that defaulted to Trilian when the plug was removed.
  • I always load the full patch
  • Velocities are at 100
  • No multies involved
  • No changes to Trilian defaults

Here's a good answer and it worked for me.

Just select the sustain patches, instead of "full range".
Then you have no slide samples at all. It also saves RAM.

Are you sure it's a slide and not a portamento glide? Sorry if that's a stupid suggestion but might as well cross it off the list!

On the SI Bass I was getting this and found A note hidden in the C1 range which was hidden from me at first. Seems putting a note down there triggers the slides.

Pretty sure it's the patch.  I use Trillian pretty often.  Though as others have mentioned, it could be the 'glide' button has been activated.
