The "laminating" I'm doing is with my Wife's "Xyron" craft laminating machine.  It is sticky stuff, not "heat" laminating.  Hopefully it won't come apart.

That's interesting! I might pick up one of the mega runners to try out.

Thanks

I got the template cut out.  Seems to be OK, not coming apart like a regular lamination potentially would.

I just need to find some "non marking" way of holding it down on a couple edges.

Try blu-tack.  A few little blobs carefully placed works for me and it is easily removable/adjustable.

Also @riojazz: first time I printed the template I had the same problem.  Then I realised there was a default setting being applied to resize it to the paper.  Make sure you have that off so it prints exactly to the same size, then it fits almost perfectly (in my case with just one edit).

Playing with the x-touch this weekend, I noticed that automated Mutes don't get recorded using the controller, and neither do the mute lights register on playback.  I only managed to get automated mutes using the on-screen buttons.  Pity - I like seeing pretty lights go on and off!  The mute buttons do work of course - just the write/play data doesn't flow through.

Control Surface API has no access to automated mute....

Thanks for confirming - saves me trying to figure it out!

So as you know a standard printer will not print whit ink. Otherwise I would of used a smoke color plastic.. So I used a plastic file folder insert I cut it out to fit in my ink jet printer , I printed it on the plastic file folder insert, but don't touch the ink as it will smear , I then went to staples and bought 8 x 11  full clear printer sticker, and covered the wet ink, it came out perfect. But being the mill was thin , this is why I choose to print it on the plastic file folder insert and  then cover it with a clear adhesive sticker.
I had to get the size correct by printing it out and zooming in and out on the printer, I use regular paper for that.

I'll give the Blu Tack a try.  On a net search I see there is Elmer's Reuseable Poster Tack which looks to be the same.

I didn't have any problems with size when printing.  I have (latest version) Adobe Acrobat PDF reader.  I selected 100% size and print to a HP Officejet Pro 8520 and it came out lined up.

I got some Loctite "Fun Tak" which is the same type of stuff as Blu Tack.

I copied the template to my photo program and created a negative (black with white print).  Printed that out on card stock (didn't laminate it), had my wife cut it out (LOL) and then put it on with the Fun Tak.  Looks good.

Thanks for the template.

Has anyone got multiple X-Touches to work with Sonar Platinum? I have purchased 3 of them and after 2 days I'm sending them back. I cant them to identify themselves as separate units thus Sonar only sees one of them. There are videos that Behringer posted on YouTube but the were using Logic Pro X as if that is the only DAW on the planet. There is no phone number that you can call to get assistance so you have to wait on an email. They cost too much for me not to be able to use all three.

Sonar Platinum 64 Bit, 6-Core i7 3.5GHz processor, 32 GB of DDR4 Ram, 5 HDD's, Windows 10 Pro, JBL LSR308's, Behringer 2031A's, Presonus STUDIO 192 Audio Interface, Presonus Central Station, Maschine MK2, AKAI MPK61.
