Interestingly I don't think it necessarily looks better than the stock themes, because it's designed to provide stark contrasts among the screen elements rather than give them an artistic mien. For me, though, that's useful.

well, stock themes are done by professionals, including graphic designers i suppose

No time to play around with that stuff but I see some nice ones being posted.

I like Tungsten and pretty much stick to it. There are a few things I would probably change but can't wade through the Theme Editor. I really liked some of the examples people posted. I feel like you kinda need a pro to design it for it to be really good.

My thoughts exactly Scott, on all points

'tungsten tiffany blue, aqua meters' made by one of the forum members for me, and scook's pro channel module skins

I was excited when i first found out about the theme editor as i have some eyesight problems that i assumed the editor would help me with. I was really annoyed when something essential for people with vision problems was just for the platinum users, i can only afford the artist version.

So i've gone back to Reaper where themes are available to anyone not just the rich.

That be a YES here.

I use the Tungsten theme 80% of the time. My custom Chuckwalk theme the other 20%.
I simply find that you need to have a Masters degree in psychology to use that theme editor. just too complicated for me.
Love Tungsten, but miss those colored strips.

I mostly use customized Tungsten. Tho theme capability was one of the reasons I finally upgraded to splat, I was making and using "themes" since X1, even before Duckbar. Splat disabled Duckbar so I was surprised to see the theme editor arise.

It would be nice to see monthly updates to Theme Editor adding new elements to the list of changeable colors. It has a long way to go to catch up to Duckbar.

Hi. I use a blend of custom Themes made by other members here, supplied by Scook's PC modules.
All the best.

Yes I use the Green Glow slightly modified and Dark Aqua again slightly modified as I was having trouble reading the timeline ruler in both.

My theme editor hasn't worked for several months. Zero response from Cakewalk AND the Forum. Glad, though - I need to be making music! After using some shared themes and one college themed theme I made I have reverted to Mercury for colored channel strips.
