I had this problem happen to me and this is how I fixed it: WASAPI is a new Driver for Windows ( Newer versions like 7 on..) I was using asio4all and getting a terrible noise from the high gain waves effects like GTR3...I just switched to that driver and all solved..It states that this driver "WASAPI " (This is the info I found).."WASAPI exclusive mode should give exactly the same audio as ASIO. They are both bit-perfect transfers."   If got me back in business....Hope this helps someone else..And 1 more very helpful thing I discovered..Sonar is very small on the screen in 4k..I resolved this issue by: Opening Sonar ( it has to be open) on the taskbar right click and go to Task manager. In task manager go to details..Then find SONARPDR.exe Right click on SONARPDR.exe and go to compatibility, under that a few items down you will find "Override high DPI Scaling behavior" and check it, and select system. No more reading glasses....lol
