I had Cakewalk downloaded via CD several years ago just after it came out. My computer crashed and I lost everything
including Cakewalk. I also do not have registration info, etc. albeit my address has not changed. Is there anyway I can re-boot the Cakewalk system 

Cakewalk by BandLab is now a free download. Create a new account at BandLab, to get the BandLab Assistant download tool. Use the same email address as your old Cakewalk account if you can, it may help you to link things up again.

Can't say for sure that you will be able to recover your old stuff, but BandLab support may be able to assist you.  At least the new Cakewalk will get you up and running.
