When I record vocals with Music Creator 6 and play it back, it sounds like a robot in slow motion.  I have tried it with multiple microphones so that is not the problem and I have tried my mic in a different program with no problem. Something is wrong with my program, please tell me how to fix it.
Thank you.

What is your sample rate set to?

What driver are you using?

What kind of mic is it?

sample rate is set to 16, I have tried it with MME 32 bit driver and Asio, when I switch to ASIO, it wont even let me record.  I am using a Shure SM58 mic with a Behringer U-phoria UM2 interface.  I tried it with my old Behringer mic plugged directly into the comp (no interface) and had the same problem

Update your audio interface firmware and drivers. Kill ASIO4ALL if you are running it.

To get the terminology right: 16, 24 and 32 are bit depth digits, 44,1 kHz, 48 kHz etc are sample rates.
Make sure your interface and MC are set to the same sample rate.
And, as mentioned above, if there are native ASIO drivers for your interface, use them. ASIO4ALL is actually not ASIO at all, it's a WDM wrapper. Then again, there's nothing wrong in using WDM driver if it works ok.

Make sure that only your audio interface is selected in MC settings, not the PC soundchip.

It seems that there is no ASIO driver for this device. The Behringer web page has a link on it for ASIO4All, which isn't a true ASIO driver. It's a band-aid for soundcards which do not have ASIO drivers available.
Download and install it. Maybe it will work, maybe not. If not, delete ASIO4All from your computer completely, return the UM-2 and get an audio interface that does support ASIO.
