I wrote to Focusrite to find out which version my 18i20 is, and am waiting for a reply. My serial number is S56428306525, if anyone has a handle on how that works, yet.

" You appear to have a Gen 1 18i20, as the Serial Number starts with an "S"
(a Gen 2 would start with a "V")."

Hey, Michael....if by "version" you mean which generation, from what I see on their website, yours is a 1st gen unit:
