The bass needs a compressor on it, as it occasionally hits some notes and my system goes bananas with some booming Bapu Bass.
 

Strange comment as I always use compression between my pre-amp and interface as well as a VST on the track during mixing. If you saw my waveform you say that it's pretty well controlled. 
 
I've not heard any bass notes that make any system I've played it on go bananas. Can you be specific WRT time spot that it happens?

I dig all the playing for sure ….
Nice groove , sweet guitar , bass is in the pocket …
You got all the right ingredients for the main track .
I hope it's OK if I offer some crits . I agree w Steve . The Vox needs more meat .
I like the Piano a lot and it may need to come up a little for the solo …
I'm hearing a group of soulful female background singers in my head as the song plays 
May be worth considering ? it may take it over the top and fit well with the genre ..

finally got round to listening
and not read the earlier comments
i would soften the kick a little (slightly pulled back and more thud)
bass is excellent (natch) but maybe a little forward compared to guitars and keys
