How can we add instruments to our program now that we cannot buy them from Cakewalk?

Don't miss the link at the top of that page.
It is not clear what program or plug-ins you are referencing. Most of the expansion packs for Cakewalk instruments were made by 3rd parties who have their own stores.

Still not very clear. Are you looking for Cakewalk Sound Center Expansion Packs or new plug-ins like Z3ta+2, Rapture Session or Rapture Pro?

MC6T supports VST2. Any software instrument manufacturers' 32bit VST2 plug-ins should work in MC6T.

Just noticed the link, I subscribed to updates.

Does anyone know what this means for what we've purchased in the past?

Should not mean a thing. MC6T is long out of support. You should already have copies of the installers backed-up off your HD. If not consider downloading them and do it now. You should also have copies of the serial numbers and registration codes. If not go to your account and save the page.

SONAR Home Studio which replaced MC7 has been available for free for a couple of months http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3718860. Not sure what the ETA is for the BandLab software.
