Hi guys

I have  a problem that occurs since I bought the keys. When I connect it the PC no matter which usb port the keyboard screen just light on but nothing show up. Also I can install drivers on win 8 becouse when it ask to connect to usb it doesnt move forward. Apparently it works when connected to laptop. It shows the welcome screen and connects properly even without installing any drivers. Can anyone have a clue what it's occurring that probably hardware problem? All other usb hardware I have works without a problem with this machine.

My system spec is: i7 860, P55AUD3R, 16GBRAM, Win 8.1 PRO.

Thanks a lot in advance for any tips.

I have an A Pro keyboard and have found a few things that help. A USB port can supply 500ma of current and the A Pro uses all of it. Because of this I've found that it doesn't like to share ports with other devices because there's not enough current to run properly.

Use a USB 2 port that's on the PC motherboard. If you have to use a hub make sure it's a powered USB hub and not a passive unit. Even better than a hub is a USB card that installs in the PC I bought one for $15. A mouse or keyboard doesn't require the power that the A Pro does so they're fine with almost anything and may lead you to believe that the keyboard has issues.

Give this a try and let me know how it works.

Thanks a lot! I've researched that USB2.0 has max of 500ma when the USB3.0 has 900ma. So maybe more safer would be buying USB3.0 active HUB? Or maybe do you think I may experience any compatibility issues?

But thanks a lot for your suggestion. That gives me a hope to fix that at last!

Stay away from USB 3. Most audio interfaces are USB 2 and will act up on USB 3. If you search, you'll find many issues with USB 3. I don't know what your hardware specs are so I can't really comment on the best solution.

I checked the keyboard with borrowed usb 3 powered hub and it works! I bought itec/pretec usb 3.0 metal charging hub 4 this week and works perfectly.

Thanks ampfixer for a help! Much appreciated.
