Thanks for the responses guys. He did agree to sell it to me for 1k, however I'm maybe rethinking this. I've never really used a control surface before, and I've always just mixed in the box, I've never had any analog experience. I'm not sure if this will really help me out or not. Any feedback on that front? I'm just wondering if my time is better spent learning other micing techniques or whatnot instead of learning a console that I technically already have inside Sonar. I really like my Octa capture, so it's not really an upgrade on the interface I need. 

I do a lot of in the box work but at the same time, I like having the ability to write with a physical fader as well as having things like mute/solo/record/etc buttons at my fingertips as it does take less time to use on a physical board than with a mouse. Once you get to using it, things like switching views from like track view to console view will be simpler using a console to control it. Control wise it boils down to whether or not you think it's worth having a controller or if you're happy with your workflow now.
 
With the rack, it has some really great quality pres in it. The thing I like the most though is the ability to bring it up to a sample rate of 192khz. Do I use that? No. I max myself at 96 which is becoming a more common standard to use in many studios, but the ability to bring it up further is there so it gives itself more lifetime and relevance. It also has that Roland hardware Fantom synth built in but honestly I've never been able to get the damn thing to work. I know others have but I never gave it enough effort to do.

If it's in great condition, 1k is really a steal and the community on here is pretty decent at helping out if you have issues at any point but again, it boils down to how you want to work and if you need a new audio interface or not.
