I would like to change the pitch of my microphone in real time. I have figured out to change it post recording by going to loops and changing the pitch there. But is there a way for me to do this 'on the fly'. I do not see a pitch changer in any of the Cakewalk Process Effects.

Cakewalk does not bundle a pitch shifter. Keep in mind, Cakewalk DAWs always record dry so even if you dropped a pitch shift plug-in in the FX bin, the effect would not be recorded. That said here is a free pitch shifter http://aegeanmusic.com/pitchproof-Specs which may work for you.

Hi can you advise how the pitch shifter would be used in MC7 i.e. does it have to be configured for use before it shows up in any menus? Thanks

Unzip the file and copy pitchproof-x64.dll (assuming 64bit MC7) into a folder in your vst scan path. The scan path is displayed in Preferences > File > VST Settings. The default is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins. Also if you have disabled automatic background scan, you will need to run a manual VST scan.
