This year I finally completed the "February Album Writing Month" challenge at FAWM.org.  I found it a life-changing experience and think I got some decent song sketches out of it.

I've been writing about my process at my blog www.jerrypettit.com/blog.  I strictly used Band In A Box and SONAR in recording everything.

Just posting here hoping something there might inspire others to get past the kind of creative block I've had for a long time!

+1 on your support of Rhyme Genie! I use that with its free companion lyric writer Tune Smith. Great apps, and the dev is a good guy, to boot!

I'll have to take another look at BIAB. I bought a medium small version (they have too many versions) a few years ago, but never really got into it (part of that was I hated the ancient-looking UI).

What I really need to do is learn how to put a song idea together quickly! Nice work!

Thanks.  I've been using BIAB for years and what is really terrific about it now is the RealBand feature, where they have gotten beyond MIDI (which is still available of course) and are using real musicians to record audio tracks.  If you listen to several of my songs you'll hear some fantastic guitar and sax solos--all generated by BIAB.
