I don't think NI has downloads for all older programs.   And DVDs don't take up much room, so I'd be inclined to hang onto them.

You need to for sure keep the first "full" product you bought. If you sold it you couldn't be able to buy an new upgrade instead of a full. I would keep them too. Throw the box out keep the disks in a different room or the garage or somewhere not your studio.  Even a different room.

You can't resell the original license, but I don't recall Native Access asking me for the original disks when I did a clean install 2 years ago.

Hi,
 I am trying to clean out the studio and I am wondering why I have 5 boxes of Komplete stuff.

 I have boxes for Komplete 5, and then 6, 7, 8, and 9 updates.

 It seems like I can throw away most of the materials, but I do want to keep things like B4, and older Guitar Rigs available for the next time I need to build a DAW.
 I am wondering if everything will need to be downloaded rather than loaded off of DVD discs by that time.

 Any thoughts will be appreciated.

 Thank you.

Refer to the
Native Instruments Komplete Version Comparison

It shows what items are included in what versions and when what got dropped.
So for example Absynth 4 came with K5 but was replace by Absynth 5 in K6;
or that B4 II only came with versions K3 through K5.
