Greetings!

My name is Manuel and I bought Music Creator 5 a few years ago, from Cakewalk site.
The reason I'm writing is that I installed MC in an old notebook but I couldn't find Sound Center plug-in after the installation.

I tried to install the Music Creator 5.0.5 version but this also failed, as now it appears the same error messages as those on the first post above (‘010 - square mk.wav’ and ‘024 - saw half.wav’ files missing). Although now I can open Sound Center, almost every musical program has no sound, and it appears errors messages about 'sfz' files missing.

I also would like to say I have already installed MC in another notebook, but as it's being used on the office, I've installed it again in a notebook with Windows XP, 1.7 GHz Pentium M processor, 2 GB DDR RAM and two 35 GB hard-disks, to use it at home.

I would ask Cakewalk for help, but I've seen MC 5 doesn't have support no more.
Thanks for your attention.

Best regards,
Manuel

when you installed MC5 (and 5.05) did you install everything as default or did you choose a custom installation?

did you allow it to install to C drive or did you choose to put some things on a different drive? (like the library sounds for Sound Center?)

Hi, when I installed MC 5, both versions, I chose the default installation, and also to be installed on the C drive. As I remember I didn’t made any custom installation.

Hi, I'd like to say I tried to reinstall MC 5.0.5, paying attention during the installation process, but it didn't work.

But fortunately I've found a way to play Sound Center sounds, more precisely, the Digital Sound Factory free Sound Center sounds pack, as the original SC sounds still don't play. I installed Sforzando plug-in and it is playing the musical programs, as free Rgc Audio Sfz+ couldn't play [the sfz files].
The only thing is that Sforzando plays the samples faster on the high notes, and slower on the low notes, but at least it is playing, which means I can acquire other sound packs, till I improve my home studio.
But still if someone could help, I'd appreciate, as I think Sound Center will play different notes at the same tempo.

I also would like to ask if I could download Roland GrooveSynth, because it seems that this plug-in also didn't install with my MC 5 download.

Thanks.

Hi, I apologize for being insistent, but I was browsing the web and I saw a page about Music Creator 5, and it says its download version consisted in "2 files. The main program (320 MB) and Cakewalk Sound Center (214 MB).”

So I'd like to ask if someone knows about Cakewalk politics over discontinued programs, as I've seen on 'My Account - Products' page that MC 5 file has 320 MB, but there is no link for CWSC download.

I think this may have relation with my problem, as I've seen that just 1 Sound Center sound was installed, which is a percussion instrument. Maybe I have missed something? If someone could help, I'd appreciate.

Manuel
