Yes, Yes I mean Yes.  Very cool.  How did you record the drums?  They sound great.  Also, at about 4:09 I did think you were going to break out into West Side Story's, "America."  I listened on headphones and thought the mix was pro.  Really great job.  I don't know how you would approach a song like this.

Thanks, John!  As for the drums, well...  I know it goes against the grain around these parts, but it's really just a single instance (SIT) of AD2 with two reverb sends.  Most of the "feel" is in the velocities IMHO.   Oh, the America line - that was completely unintentional and I didn't even realize it until you wrote it!   Then again, I always liked how Chris Squire quoted the line in Yes' version of Paul Simon's "America", so maybe that had a sub-conscious effect...

This is excellent stuff Steve
Prog Rules!
Production sounds top notch, as per Steve...

Thanks, Andy!  Appreciate it.   And I will never argue with Prog Rules!

First class musicianship here Steve. So is this all improvised?

Thanks, Bjorn!   Yeah, most of the individual sections start out as improvisations/noodling that I then tweak, edit into shape, and string together.   That's typically how I do this type of material.

nice 70's style prog rock!

it's fun to listen to,
and great to hear someone still carries the torch,
i listened to a LOT of this stuff in the late 70's...

this has a bit of flavor of happy the man, crimson, and steve hillage, to my ear...

i really like the flourish of the ending

nice mix as well!

Good tune. Well played. Well recorded and mixed. Nothing bad to say. Had YES written all over it.

very Yes. I'm sure this took much practice to get all the parts in sync. all you need is some Jon Anderson on top. :)

You pulled off this highly ambitious (and presumably original) piece extremely well. Kudos!
