I ordered 2 items from GC the other day. Both items were marked 'in stock and ready to ship'.
I got an email from them the next day, "Oops, this item is sold out. We'll notify you when it's ready to be shipped".
Of course, it was the thing I wanted the most.
On the plus side, the guitar case arrived in just 2 days.

A customer once asked that if he ordered a brick built barbecue set would I be able to build it for him? I have very minimal bricklaying experience but I figured that a kit version couldn't be that difficult, so agreed to have a bash at it for him. A large box arrived proudly stating that it contained everything required to build your own brick bbq.
 
Except the bricks, the mortar and a design plan of any kind.

Oh boy! Got an email from GC tonight! The mixer is on its way! I thought.
"The item you ordered is still on back-order and will be shipped to you as soon as we receive it".
