UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! VB3 1.4 x64 is back!!!!!
Just spent the last 30-45 minutes trying to make it crash!!!! Never in my life.
Strangely, I noticed another cumulative update took place about an hour ago and now VB3 is back in action. I wonder for how long this time. Not wishing to go back on the trail I have been for the last 5 days!!
I do want to express my most profound gratitude to the people who have wrestled with me thru the last few days. It is this fellowship that I would have missed the most if Sonar had gone belly up. My hats off to you all.

Sid, I wish you all the best. I have watched this thread with interest but not commented because:

1. I didn’t know the answer!
2. You have helped me more than once in the past, and I was praying you’d get a solution because it was killing you.
3. I love VB3.

Let’s hope all is stable now. What a community this is - extraordinary.

(I Posted this before reading the good news but the info might be of some help)
Hey guys,
I know how frustrating this is.

I just put a quick video together to just show my basic ideas.
Check it out here:

I am hoping it will help.

Joyfully!

Thanks, Simeon! I had already traveled those paths. The problem seems to have been a corrupt or interrupted update that created all this havoc.
I do very much appreciate the trouble you went to with the video. Well done, I may add. Thanks, guys!

Are you using JBridge? CbB will show 32 bit VB3 being scanned but it does not show on my instrument list. How exactly are you getting 32 bit VB3 to scan and run in 64 bit Sonar or CbB? BTW, thanks for your help.

I was using BitBridge (in SPlat). Using JBridge now.

I never was able to get BitBridge to see 32 bit VB3. But, thankfully, the 64 bit version is back for now.

VB3 is 32 bit, there is not a 64 bit version. When you see if loaded it is using Cakewalk's 32 bit to 64 bit wrapper BitBridge.
If you look near the end of my video I show you how to get it to show up in JBridge. When You have the VB3 plugin options open in the Plugin Manager you should see the checkbox. When it is selected wait and then close it out. remove VB3 from the project and re-insert it and you should see the Jbridged interface.

If you are trying to JBridge it while it is still in an open project then you will see the older DLL being referenced from Cakewalk's BitBridge.

Hope that helps?

GSi started selling a 64bit version of VB3 in early 2014.

I am talking about VB3 x64 1.4! Just to clarify. That is correct that it was introduced in 2014! If you check GSI webpage at the bottom you will see VB3 1.4 which is the 32 bit version you refer to. Just under that download is one for VB3 1.4 x64. That is the 64 bit version. There is no need to wrap it or bridge it. It is purely 64 bit. The new version 2 seems to be strictly 64 bit.
Hope that cleared the confusion.
