Hey Bill, what a coincidence. My singers grandmother was a Cherokee, too. He wrote the lyrics and sang this song.
He is from Kentucky maybe there is a another slang language. Is it a question of volume or clearness of the voice?
 
There are tons of people in this world just looking for things to get upset about even if they have to invent them.

My great grandmother was also from Kentucky, incidentally. Maybe they're related. Who knows. Her family used to be named Harden but changed their name to Whitehouse after John Wesley Harden ticked off the nation. She actually married and settled in White House, Tenn. Maybe someone in the family tree helped settle the town or something. I never heard the story on that. We moved there briefly too when I was young. It's just a stone's throw from Kentucky. My mom grew up on a farm in Portland, Tenn. Just 10-miles from Kentucky. You can't name a musician from Nashville that she didn't claim she was related to.
