Hey All,

My name's Chris.  I've got some free time and I love mixing tracks.  Anyone interested in having their songs mixed just get a hold of me.

I think most of us enjoy mixing our own, but thanks for the nice offer, and good luck to you.

I'm always interested in this kind of thing. Some people have offered to mix some stuff of mine...but I generally never hear back from them, after going through all the trouble of sending the raw tracks etc. One bloke mixed a song of mine a few years ago...put real drums on it and added an organ pad too. At the end of the day I preferred my original mix...but at least he finished the job. I was grateful. Recently, I've sent 3 whole songs out to a couple of people who asked if they could mix them...and after a couple of rough mixes, never heard from them. Lately, I think my mixes have been on the improve, so I'm not as interested in how someone else mixes my stuff.

I guess my point is....if you're offering, and people take you up on it....make sure you get the job done and do what you said you'll do. Don't get me wrong, nobody was under any obligation to send me back wonderful mixes or any mixes, and I lost no sleep over it...but in your shoes I think it's better to be the guy who gets something done, not the guy who takes the tracks and disappears.

Good luck!

Same thing for me, I recently sent a couple of songs off and got zero back but then again that's life in the songwriting game.

I feel I could have said the same as you montezuma, life goes on ... and you learn to mix your own stuff in time. But it's such a downer when you get nothing back after sending bundled files of hard work off ... Kinda like being dumped by your girlfriend !

Anyway I've listened to your stuff and the mix sound great to me.

Good luck to you though Chris it could be the start of something great, but maybe to wet the appetite you could add some of the mixes you have been involved with and post them here with a pre mix / master, that might help.

That's all I got FTTB

I completely understand where you guys are coming from.  I get it.  It's a trust thing.  Writing and composing songs is a very personal journey.  Often times the art is a result of deeply personal events.  I treat all the artists that agree to let me work for them with the upmost respect.  I'll find a good example of my mixing abilities and get it posted.

If you are interested, private message me and we can set things up.

Cool Chris. I dunno about the whole 'art' thing and all that. Speaking for myself, I'm not writing songs 'for sheep stations', as we say where I come from. I know what you're saying, but getting songs written, recorded and mixed is kind of like finishing a half marathon or something...as opposed to some right brained artistic period of inspired creativity and revelation that we are married to.

For me, it's just a hobby that is enjoyable, like gardening or something. It doesn't really matter what kind of zen state the guy who sends his tracks to you for mixing was in when he created his masterpiece..and many of us have no profound emotional attachment to it anyway. That's all beside the point. The point is that many people who offer what you're offering simply don't follow through with what they said they would do. I just point it out from experience as advice. I wouldn't worry so much about handling anyone's artistic vision with kid gloves...unless they ask you to. Haha. Just mix their song if they send it to you.

it would probably help if people could hear multiple mixes of different styles you've done,
and then decide if you are good or not.
