Glad you at least have a stable X3 you can use, until you get the Platinum issues resolved on your system.
 
There were a number of things above offered as suggestions for you to try, and I am hoping one or more of those will help you move towards resolution of the problems.  Please do give them a review and try them.

Hello everybody with this issue in Sonar Platinum. I have the same problem and have updated every driver, firmware, Bios and even uninstalled Cortana but nothing seems to help. I have been back and forth with Cakewalk support and the only thing they could tell me was to revert back to a previous version of Sonar Platinum. I just did it and will try it out. I had been running everything fine up to the last update with a pretty heavy count of plugins. I also think that the Sonar updates and the Windows updates might be fitting each other. dont know if U solved Ur prblem. SONAR had got wors and wors, I updated to win 10 , bought ned SSD disk followed tunigs intruction. after the Izotope and Fabfilter install Vst, its freezing, stopping etc. I find my old SONAR 8.5, x1, x2, x3 in the regsitry, should I rmove those files. I reinstalled cakewalk center, and I ask sup0port, they dont answare, .  
 
At elast theuy should set up some advice site to where we can find tuing on win 10, and cleaning. SONAR is becomming more and more a problem-system, and I also, like U, lost customers, its was so embassasing, I had to pay videoeditor guy, last time here, ha drove over 100km to come to studio, and its freeze and no solution. 
 
Pleas advice me what software I should go for. I payd sice the SONAR 6, til my lifetime supbscrioption quite an amount for this
Beta-software ! .....and as the ****s in the tech dont bother to even answare my basic question, like ; how to clean up the registry, of old SONAR files. how to install the plugins the proper way, in what folders etc. 
 
I will tell people about this. Its very colse to say this is a scam, selling something that force people into forums and frustration !

I read this site, buty after I did "clean it", I started to wonder, should I remove the .8.5, .x1,x2,x3 ? and why in the registry the folder setup for Pjoject files is under my C-drive, wehn I hvae set it up , under Preferences severa times ! under my D-drive, its a LOT of garbage aroudn, a lot of paths to  Vst folders etc.  that is still there, even after I change it . The problem is, like You say, its been there for Years., but now after people misrate, or start in win 10. SONAR should update, and dont be ONLY focused on selling plugins and other "things", they remind of, yes, wMicrosoft themsefl . they set people stay in forums , truobelshot, and do the work ! while they are focusing on the bussiness modell themself ! A lot more ofet , and often I ead posts here, telling about the freeze prblems, now sepcially after this plugin- hysteeria . 
 
Of course who dont loce the Izotope an dFbafilter,, but the scripters, and core- writers of Sonar dont fooolw up. 
 
I have read several time here, htat polple is leaving the platform, and I must say. I dont jsut leave nad shake my head. I am getting Fkc. .... furious angry with ****  Beta paltform  that is more and more for choildre making 
EDM -garbage ! and this arrogant  behaviour of tech, took 3 monts before reply "........while I get error mesages Like : " fatal error " more and more often !

I had crashing issues after moving to Windows 10 (my Windows 7 boot on the same machine was fine).
 
The culprit turned out to be Microsoft OneDrive - if it tried to do a sync whilst a Sonar project was playing, it would crash. I disabled OneDrive and it's been stable ever since.
 

ok, sorry, after  using SONAR from the days with SONAR 6, and paying all thogether over 1000 dollars in updates, etc. I am now leaving this platform. and I will NOT recomend this paltform any more. Maybe its a "problem" ewith  OneDrive, and maybe its with win 10, and update, and maybe this and that.  BUT SONAR should cope with this, and inform and update the core scripts of their platform . I am now loosing many weeks of work, and SO many files and tampltes and setups that I developped over Years !
 
I have also read that serious pridecers like Bonobo and other have left this cakewalk platform that seem to me  focusing more an more towards teenagers "making" this awaful. anti-music they call EDM .
 
Please someone, advice me what to invest, what platform to move over to ? I dont care about price. All my Izotope and Fabfilte must be compatibel and also my Play, from EastWest. I also have my mixerboard from allen Heath ; qu 32. SO I have to stay in Windows platform . 
 
any serious advice ? 
 
and thanks, and I really hope you will enjoy sitting in forums for half of the time you are using SONAR, thats seem to be a wanted policy from cakewalk . 

I can also tell you people her, htat one of the biggest Music Dealers in Europa. ; Thomann have taken out this crap product from their range. And I can tell you , that is for a reaason !
