Another head scratcher. "Music Creator has a Mono/Stereo button in each track module in the Track Inspector and Console view" No, it doesn't. Unless it's very well hidden or invisible, there is no corresponding button, or anything that looks remotely like the icon displayed in the help file in my version of Music Creator 7. This is rather unfortunate as I want to record mono tracks and all I get is stereo tracks.

The mono/stereo interleave button is available on audio tracks only. It is not available on instrument tracks but instrument tracks only record MIDI data.  When inserting a soft synth using a regular audio and MIDI track instead of an instrument track or bounce the instrument track to mono after recording the MIDI data.

Thanks, I realize that. I am recording audio on an audio track from a mic that is mono. I don't know if it's my interface, a Roland Duo-Capture EX, but all the new tracks I create are stereo. I thought I devised a work-around by setting it to either L or R, but then no sound is recorded. I wish I could create a mono audio track. :(

With Advanced track settings the audio track input selector should options to record the left or right side of the Duo-Capture.

Thanks! That works just fine. Funny how the 'help' files don't bear much relationship to the software. Next I'll try some plug-ins which should see me back on the forums in no time ate all! ;)
