Sounds like a good score and I'm sure you'll get it all working. Did you try posting on, say a guitar forum or there must even be a forum out there for fixing old tube amps. That's what I do with great success.
I took your advise and posted it here:
https://www.ssguitar.com/index.php?topic=4307.0 I got an answer yesterday. I looked for the part online but I somehow missed this place. Small Bear:
http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/photocoupler-xvive-vtl5c3-work-alike/They have the VTL5C3 that I was looking for. I had seen VTL5C2's and a few VTL5C's. But this is a perfect match.
What I didn't want was the same part that was in there
These amps are notorious for this problem.
thanks Johnny.

have a Berkeley (same amp, separate head and cab with trolley and 2-10" jennings bulldog speakers). I'd jump on a tube Cambridge in a heartbeat
I probably should have noted it wasn't one of the older Cambridge's. Its a Cambridge 30R.
http://www.voxshowroom.com/uk/amp/c30_hood.htmlthese 30R's came out around 1999/2000 (mine is stamped 99) and they are a hybrid (1 12AX& in the pre amp section). I put her on the bench and jumped the leads on the optocoupler.
Bingo, huge sound, very loud, problem solved but no tremolo. so I ordered the part.
Thank you for your suggestions.
PS- im a huge fan of Northcoastmusic.
