We don't mention internal only stuff like dither options in our comp chart. If we did it would be 10000 pages long.
All the izotope stuff was re-licensed so it is in the CbB early access release itself. POWr is still under review but there is a good chance it will be back.

Noel, thanks for the clarification. Are there any plans to add any missing SPLAT functionallity to CbB? In particular, will ProChannel and all those Cakewalk and 3rd party modules be added to CbB? I've really enjoyed doing 80% of mixes in ProChannel but believe I can (probably after buying a few new plugings) do pretty much the same things in the FX bin. So I realize this isn't a critical addition.

And on the downside of using ProChannel, I've often had trouble had problems inserting/moving FX Chains in ProChannel strips; and adding/deleting/moving effects in FX Chains. Others have demonstrated they don't have that problem. So I've been hopeful that I could solve the problem and kept using it even with the problems.

CbB does have ProChannel. There is a whole batch of ProChannel stuff listed starting at line 87 that are in CbB already. The QuadCurve EQ and Zoom are there, PC76 U-Type Channel Compressor, PC4K S-Type Bus Compressor, Console Emulator, Tape Emulator, Tube Saturation, Softube Saturation Knob, FX Chain, BREVERB SONAR, REmatrix Solo and Style Dial FX are all marked as included in the Early Access CbB.

Hello
I see that Cakewalk by Bandlab is moving along and rebuilding. Is the any time frame of when a complete edition of something close to Sonar Platinum will be released and functional ?  I am currently involved in several album projects and I don't want to start downloading bits and pieces of the new program as it is being developed and cause myself problems or lost functions. I have too much going on to be experimenting with this.  Also my concern with this transitional period is the latest comparison chart shows a lack of mainstay items I currently use such as the Blue Tube plug-ins and the channel tools. Lounge Lizard and Addictive Drums are not available so until a complete version of what we have been working with in the form of Sonar Platinum is available I will not risk fooling around with this skeleton version. Now don't get me wrong here, I am, like everyone happy and excited about this new direction for Cakewalk and the fact that it's not dead however I would like to know to what degree will the full resurrection format be and roughly how long it will take to be functional. Also when a full functioning program is in place will it be offered for sale or will we use the existing platform and the new edition will be build upon it. I am looking ahead at my work flow and trying to gauge the best route to go. Thanks for any information you can provide.

As has been pointed out several times above, 3rd party plugs (ie., the ones the old Cakewalk paid others to include in version of SONAR, Proaudio, etc.) will probably not (read won't) be included in any future CbB since they would have to option them all over again.  Blue Tubes, Lounge Lizard and Addictive are such programs.

BandLab bought the skeleton and plan on adding more functions and new effects, not the old stuff.  That is how I read it, anyway.

Just to add to this, if you already have the 3rd party plugins from a previous Sonar Platinum installed, they shouldn't be removed by adding CbB.  You should be able to run them side by side, with CbB scanning and using the available Sonar content.  It's just that some Sonar content will not be available standalone to CbB, unless you already have Sonar Platinum installed.

The only thing that I may be missing here is if any of the 3rd party content detects that CbB is not actually Sonar Platinum, and therefore refuses to run.  Anybody got feedback on this?

Two parts here - one - do not uninstall SPlat. It keeps the third party software activated - where necessary.  And - two - so far, all the VST and Plugins I've tried worked with CbB. I have not tried everything, though, so your mileage will likely vary.

My Melodyne is purchased and not part of the original SPlat and is "universal" - I don't need SPlat to run it - so it probably doesn't count as tested.

Nice.  The only problem is that CbB is at the far end of the columns, and it is almost impossible to easily track back to what is missing. Start the columns w/ CbB and then it becomes apparent what is included and not without having to drag the screen from one side of the chart to the other side.  That is what we need to see, not what SONAR Artist is missing.  I'm working w/ a small screen here.

grow up.
and then put your glasses on.
both these steps might assist you.

and then Mr Snotty spoke those wise words...

The main reason I've chosen to stay away from the Bandlab thing altogether is concerns about uninterrupted functionality.
Am I correct to assume that this means I get no more updates? (last one with regular Sonar Platinum was October 2017). I'm concerned that I have to DOWNLOAD (!?!) Cakewalk by Bandlab, when I already have Sonar Platinum. I don't want to risk losing plug-ins, functionality, or any existing projects.
If it's a seamless transition with no risk of any loss of any functions, that would be one thing. But If I have to download a new version of something I already have, that concerns me.
