I'm pretty ignorant in the mixing area. I found it odd to use 2 compressors on a track.
You do this so that one comp isn't overworking itself therefore you can obtain smoother compression. At least that's what I use it for and
try to attain! For me it's all about trying to keep them transients in the original form, just not peaking so much.
